Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and manage infrastructure on AWS, including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, and CloudWatch
- Manage VMware virtualized environments (vCenter, ESXi, vMotion, vSAN) ensuring optimal performance and resource utilization
- Support hybrid environments by integrating on-premises VMware workloads with AWS
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for repeatable and consistent environment provisioning using Terraform (preferred)
- Administer and troubleshoot Linux and Windows servers in virtualized and cloud environments
- Configure and optimize monitoring solutions (CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, etc.) to track health and performance
- Ensure robust backup, patching, and disaster recovery mechanisms across infrastructure components
- Implement IAM, role-based access control (RBAC), and encryption policies in AWS and VMware
- Maintain compliance with organizational security and governance frameworks
- Conduct regular system audits and remediation to ensure best practice configurations
